This is an excellent Springfield 1873 Trapdoor Model 1881 Long Range Rifle.  It has a 32.5" barrel with full length walnut stock held by 2 barrel bands.  The stock is in very good condition with a minor repair to the forend that can be seen in the photo.  The Hotchkiss butt plate is marked "US".  The bore is bright and shiny and chambered for the 45-70 Government cartridge.  The lock is marked "US Springfield 1873".  The breech block is hand-hammered adorned and is marked "US Model 1873".  It features the Sharps Peep and Globe sights.  This gun is a treasure and would make a great gift for your favorite gun collector or to add to your own collection.  Meet and pickup in front parking lot at Flowery Branch, GA Police Dept.  Cash only.  Thank you.
